Nutritional yeast is a fantastic source of B vitaminsโparticularly vitamin B1 (thiamine).
The problem is that many nutritional yeast products are fortified with synthetic vitamins. Synthetic vitamins do not work the same as natural vitamins. Itโs always best to avoid artificial sources of vitamins and mineralsโstick with food-based sources and natural supplements.
