As we enter the dark half of the year, we present a series of stories from our storytellers this Samhuinn, Tales From The Hearth. Between now and Samhuinn night, they will be telling tales and poems and singing songs connected to different aspects of our festival, and sharing them with you online.
This story (which formed part of the broadcast on October 31st) connects to the Beithir, the great serpent, which was represented in the Samhuinn parade through Edinburgh by a giant puppet accompanied by performers.
