How to Make EMAS: Effective Microorganism Activated Solution (2021) | Angie Mead King

Our team at the farm learned how to make an Effective Microorganism Activated Solution (EMAS) to help increase our soil fertility, use it as a fertilizer, and wastewater treatment. We also learned how to make bokashi and mud balls which we later threw into our aquaponic pond.

Effective Microorganism (EM) is a liquid mixed culture containing lactic acid bacteria, phototropic bacteria, and yeast. When the EM-1 solution is mixed with water and molasses, we can create a solution (EMAS) to use as a fertilizer.

Thank you to EM Research Organization Inc. for this training. If you want to learn more about EM, you can contact EM Research Organization Inc. (https://bit.ly/3vQ7c6x)
