Jordanian researcher Majdi Mamdoh said that ISIS, as an extension of political Islam, was created by the Americans and orientalists. He made his remarks in an interview that aired on Sky News Arabia (UAE) on July 30, 2021. Mamdoh explained that the orientalists dug up everything that is shameful and negative in the Arab-Islamic heritage and turned it into ISIS, so people would come and say that “this is Islam.” He gave the example of “sexual Jihad,” which he claimed no one had ever heard of before ISIS.
