Australian hosts Karl Stefanovic and Sophie Walsh have mocked Meghan Markle for her 40th birthday message which announced her new initiative to help bring women back into the workplace following the Covid-19 pandemic.
Sophie criticised the Duchess for being "too smiley" and for advocating a strong work ethic when she "quit her job" with the Royal Family after less than two years.
Speaking on the Today show, Sophie Walsh said: "I love that she’s lecturing people about getting back into the workplace and she quit her job as a royal after less than two years."
Her co-host Karl noted that the Duchess was making "millions from home" and commented on their dog that is lounging in the background of the video.
"And to have that dog's life, just lying there in front of the fire that's not on, on a pillow."
He then ridiculed Meghan's American accent: "Why doesn't she talk normally? [American accent] "To harness the woman's mobility as she works back..." I mean, come on!"
