A Narcissist will Gaslight their victims in order to warp their reality in order to control them. Once you no longer trust your own judgment or your own reality, the narcissist has power and control over you. It is at that moment that the narcissist can alter your memories and create a sense of cognitive dissonance where you're not sure what has transpired. For some victims of narcissist abuse, this is fatal because you learn to trust the narcissist's opinions and take their word as gospel. Behind the scenes, the narcissist is LYING to you and manipulating you through GASLIGHTING.
