Note: Per the National Institutes of Health, Dr. Fauci mistakenly said that the FDA had issued an emergency use authorization (EUA) for Merck’s COVID-19 treatment molnupiravir.
It has NOT received an EUA. The FDA committee merely recommended its authorization, but it has not yet received a formal authorization.
