Preaching to girls and boys to wait till they get married before having sex on moral grounds is not likely to be fruitful. Neither is scaring them with consequences like HIV and unwanted pregnancies the right approach. The emotional and psychological ramifications of sexual activities at an early age should be explained to them logically.
Research shows that the earlier children indulge in sexual activities, higher the probability that they will consider sex as a casual thing and not as an expression of love and care. This can lead to promiscuity, which in turn results in both physical and psychological complications.
