Shoplifting is ‘essentially allowed’ in California

Shoplifting is essentially “allowed” in parts of California and elsewhere in the United States because cases are not being prosecuted like they used to be, says Sky News host Rita Panahi.

“No wonder there’s so many retailers that are saying no thank you, we might just take our business elsewhere,” she said.

Sky News host James Morrow argued the laws allow people to “come in and just scoop as much stuff off as they want like in some sort of weird perverse lefty game show”.
