Royal Albatross ~ Tiaki Gets Her Photo Taken! Wingercising & Then Wandering Off ♥ 9.15.21

Tiaki remained in her territory all day and did some wingercising and gardening. Ranger Theo came in the morning and took some closeup photos of our Royalcam star! The rangers are keeping an eye on all the chicks that are still here and those that have fledged. I will pin any updates to the video later today. The chicks need the right winds in order to fledge so expect to see more fledges with those favorable winds. Tiaki will wander out of view on the right. The cam is still unable to pan and zoom so unfortunately we can't see her unless she comes back in view. Tiaki is 234 days old. Thank you for watching!

~~ LGL hatched in 2008 and is a 12 year female paired with LGK hatched in 2009 an 11 year male. They have been together since 2017 and became our Royalcam couple for the 2018/2019 season. Their first breeding season produced an egg but it later died. In 2019 their chick Karere fledged successfully. LGL laid her egg on Nov. 7th 2020. LGL/ LGK are the Royalcam couple for the 2020/21 season! The chick hatched on January 24th 2021.
