The Dixie Fire is impacting five counties in Northern California: Butte, Plumas, Tehama, Lassen, and Shasta, according to Cal Fire. The fire has burned 844,081 acres and is 52% contained.
On Tuesday, new mandatory evacuation orders were issued and all previously issued orders and warnings remain in place. Around 5 p.m., fire officials issued new evacuation orders for the Milford and Herlong area.
