The ANC may not be able to contest elections in about 30 municipalities if the Electoral Court rejects its application to have the IEC reopen the candidate nomination list process which concluded this past Monday. The ANC will be approaching the court on Friday.
Meanwhile, the EFF is opposing the ANC's application. They have called on the IEC to reject the governing party's request and protect its integrity.
